The artist states "Fertile Fields is a series that pays homage to the landscape created by the farmers and ranchers of North America. Firmly planted in a realistic sense of scale, perspective and images, the art blossoms with an unrealistic sense of color." This transformation occurs when the color wheel is shifted. What would look blue in reality is now seen as red. Yellow is now viewed as blue while red appears as yellow. The shift is applied to the secondary colors as well.
